Establishment of EPC

As the 70th anniversary of the recognition of the FCI standard for the Poodle breed approaches (declared in 1955), national clubs from the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia decided that they will create the European Poodle Club. After half of a year of brainstorming and negotiation, it was successfully established at the beginning of the 2024.

The primary idea behind this club is to gradually connect all Poodle breeding clubs from European countries.

The mission of the club is to promote awareness of the breed, ethical and purebred breeding, educate owners and the public, connect breeders from different European countries, and organize educational events and shows.
In April 2024, Peter Tomeček was elected as the first President of the European Poodle Club by the General Assembly.
